About AENIB
The Association of Nautical Companies in the Balearics, AENIB, is the employer organization of the sector that since 1986 represents all types of nautical companies on the islands.
Who are we?
The leading companies in the Balearic nautical sector form AENIB, founded in 1982 to represent the interests of the sector before the authorities and to highlight its strategic role in the economy of the islands.
Currently, more than a hundred companies are members of the association, representing all areas of the Balearic nautical sector, such as shipyards, yacht sales, charter, sea schools, refit and maintenance, among others.
We are the employer organization of reference in the Balearic nautical sector, and in turn form part of CAEB (Confederation of the Business Associations of the Balearics) which unites practically all of the private businesses of the archipelago, and ANEN (National Association of Nautical Companies), which represents the industrial and entrepreneurial side of the pleasure boat sector in Spain.

What we do?
Our main objectives are to defend the collective business interests of our member companies, to contribute to the growth and stability of the Balearic nautical sector and to serve as an effective and decisive mediator between the public authorities and the nautical sector.
In addition, we strive to emphasize how important the sea, nautical activities and sustainability are for the economy and society and redouble our efforts as the leading communicator of the sector towards the general public and the media. During more than 40 years we have actively participated in workshops and institutional decision-making processes of the sector. Many of our proposals – always destined to improve the circumstances of our members – have been taken into account and included in the eventually approved directives. Furthermore, we defend the nautical activity and industry against decisions that can potentially harm our business and our interests. Always totally independently, without giving in to political pressures, we enforce the weight of the sector using all the legal methods available to us.
