The Spanish nautical sector meets in Palma to set the guidelines for the future
AENIB participated in the meeting with a delegation headed by its president Jaume Vaquer.

AENIB, in representation of the Balearic nautical employers, participated in the recent meeting of the various regional nautical clusters in Spain with the Spanish Maritime Cluster.

The AENIB delegation was led by President Jaume Vaquer. The Spanish Association of Nautical Companies, ANEN, also participated in the meeting, represented by its secretary general, Carlos Sanlorenzo.

The meeting, included in the ‘Work Program for Business Opportunities of the Blue Economy’, was recently held at the Palacio de Congresos de Palma. In the meeting, projects led by the different maritime regions were presented and alliances established to generate joint regional development initiatives. In addition, the strategic lines of the government-supported “Maritime Sectorial Agenda”, which includes the projects promoted by companies and sectorial consortiums together with regional clusters, were addressed.

After the meeting, an 'Encounter with the Sea' took place in the same context - an event open to the political, economic and social segments of the Balearic Islands, with the participation of delegations from Portugal, Albania, Greece, Malta and various other regions of Spain.

During the program 'Opportunities of the Blue Economy', the state of the maritime sector in the Mediterranean was analyzed by an extraordinary group of speakers, reporting on the current situation and the medium-term future of the main economic areas that encompass it. The event was concluded with a panel discussion by high level personalities, among them the presidents of the national maritime clusters of Italy, Portugal and Spain.
