Balearic Islands accounts for two out of ten recreational boats registered in Spain so far this year, and three out of ten boats for charter, according to the data from ANEN.

The Association of Nautical Companies in the Balearic Islands (AENIB) is against the decision of the Government of Spain to exclude the recreational craft from the fuel discount.
The total recreational vessel registrations in Spain have fallen by 17% between January and May, compared to the decrease of only 3.75% recorded in the Balearic Islands.
Between January and April 2022, 319 recreational boat registrations were recorded in the Balearics, representing a slight decrease of 4.2% compared to the same period in 2021.
