The Balearic Islands account for one in every four charter boat registrations in Spain, representing approximately 24.7% of the national total and recording a 4% increase during the first half of the year.

The Balearic Islands recorded 308 recreational boat registrations between January and May 2026, representing an 11.6% increase compared to the same period in 2025.

Port Adriano hosted today the presentation of the Balearic Boating Festival, an initiative promoted by the Balearic Marine Cluster as part of the World Boating Day.

The sector trusts that the new regulation will strengthen legal certainty and facilitate the modernization of ports and shipyards in the Balearic Islands, generating employment and promoting social and sporting access to the sea.

Between January and April, the Balearic Islands recorded 225 registrations of recreational boats, 13.1% more than a year earlier. The archipelago accounted for 14.4% of total national registrations.
