The associations and representative entities of the Balearic nautical sector have held a working meeting with the aim of strengthening coordination and collaboration among organizations that share common strategic interests.

We took part in this meeting together with representatives from Marinas de Baleares, AEBRE – Business Association of Recreational Vessels, APEAM – Employers’ Association of Maritime Activities, ASOMAR – Association of Berth Holders and Maritime Operators of the Bay of Palma, AECIB – Association of Charter Companies of the Balearic Islands, ACNB – Association of Yacht Clubs of the Balearic Islands, the Official Association of Naval Engineers of the Balearic Islands, the Balearic Sailing Federation, and the Balearic Marine Cluster.

The meeting served to establish a stable framework for collaboration among the different associations, based on full respect for the autonomy, competences, and representativeness of each entity. Therefore, this initiative does not entail any change to the structure or individual capacity for action of each organization, but rather responds to a shared desire to coordinate efforts in areas where sector interests coincide.

Among the agreed lines of action are:

  • Holding regular coordination meetings between associations.
  • Sharing information on strategic lines, ongoing projects, and current initiatives.
  • Developing a joint sector calendar to anticipate actions and optimize collective planning.

The participating entities agreed that the Balearic nautical sector faces common challenges that require ongoing dialogue, strategic vision, and the ability to engage jointly with public administrations and other relevant stakeholders.

This new phase of coordination will help strengthen sector representation, improve efficiency in defending shared interests, and contribute to an orderly, sustainable, and competitive development of nautical activity in the Balearic Islands. The participating associations have expressed their willingness to maintain this dynamic of joint work as a tool for sector cohesion and continuous improvement, and they invite any association interested in joining this initiative to take part in this collective effort in support of the nautical sector.
