The island region continues to lead boat registrations in Spain from January to July, despite a general 23.2% drop compared to 2024.

The Directorate General of the Merchant Marine has provisionally established the conditions that recreational boats and vessels must meet in order to obtain authorization for a temporary change from private to commercial use.

The Balearic archipelago closed the first half of 2025 with a 32.3% drop in recreational boat registrations compared to the same period last year, according to the latest report published by the National Association of Nautical Companies (ANEN).

The Director General of the Merchant Navy, Ana Núñez, has launched in Maó the summer safety campaign for recreational boating, an initiative led by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility.

The Spanish nautical market closed the first five months of 2025 with 2,014 recreational boat registrations, representing an 11.6% decrease compared to the 2,278 units recorded during the same period in 2024.
